DIY - POM POM SNOWMAN STRAWS
The weather outside is frightful, but you can bring in these chilly snowmen inside to join your holiday party table! This easy and adorable DIY will bring the winter magic to your beverages, and kids can join in this easy party craft, which also transforms into a sweet Christmas tree ornament!
Materials
* Felt in colors of your choice
* White pom poms in various sizes (our local craft store only had 1" pom poms, and we would recommend not going any smaller than this!)
* Black seed beads
* Orange foam sheet
* Paper Straws
* White foam sheet (optional - this is to convert the snowman into an ornament)
* Gold twine (optional - this is to convert the snowman into an ornament)
* Scissors
* Glue Gun
Instructions
Using your hot glue gun, glue 3 pom poms together, one on top of the other.
Cut out little carrot-stick shaped triangles from the orange sheet of foam.
Cut narrow strips of felt (ours measured about 1/4" wide), and cut longer than you think you need - you can always trim down.
Using the glue gun, glue on the seed beads for eyes, and the carrot foam noses.
Tie the scarves around the snowman and straw to secure. If you don't intend to convert these to Christmas ornaments, you can secure on straws with glue, or you can use a little piece of tape to prevent the snowman from sliding down.
Trim down the scarves and notch the ends for the scarf detail.
Add to your cup of your favorite warm winter beverage! **To convert to a little ornament, cut a little circle of white foam, and a length of gold twine to make a loop. Using the glue gun, secure the gold twine, and then the white foam circle to the back of the snowman's head.**
