PARTY ET CIE EVENTS - A WINTER WOODLAND FEAST
For our annual Inspired Holiday Party, we decided to step into nature, to a magical Winter Woodland for a feast, and join in the sweet revelry of our forest friends! We accordingly decided to stick to a "natural" color palette, with ivory, natural forest greens, touches of berry reds and wood tones.
In order to initiate our efforts of working towards a more sustainable future for our earth, we decided to use our beautiful Simply Eco collection. Not only is the design unique and different, but this collection is sustainably produced, using all natural materials, and is dyed with natural dyes.
T H E P L A C E S E T T I N G
In keeping with our nature-inspired color palette, we decided to start with a clean base color, and began with laying an ivory linen tablecloth. We placed winter greenery boughs (pine, cedar, seeded eucalyptus, white thryptomene, rosemary and juniper) down the center of the table. In among the boughs we nestled Green Patina Globe and Mushroom Cloche ornaments from Terrain, and placed winter woodland creatures hidden throughout the greenery (Can you spot a mama deer and her two babies, a llama, a lamb, and a magical unicorn?).
At each placesetting, guests were given a personalized gingerbread tree placed atop a wooden coaster. Guests were also treated with a printed menu card, decorated with a simple, single rosemary sprig. We used our complete line of Simply Eco partyware in ivory, which includes our Large Simply Eco Plates, Small Simply Eco Plates and Large Simply Eco Napkins, and wooden cutlery. We used clear glass glasses for "Mixed Berry Cocktails", which were garnished with a sprig of rosemary.

Little guests were treated to a child-friendly menu of forest-themed and aptly named dishes and snacks! A selection of mini sandwiches, "Woodland Friend-wiches," crudites, Foraged Forest Vegetables," and crunchy snacks, "Squirrel Nuts and Nibbles" were our offerings. To accompany, tasty and colorful "Mixed Berry Cocktails" added splashes of festive red to the tablescape. Afterwards, guests indulged in their Gingerbread Trees, and Meringue Mushrooms.
