DIY - MINI FELT BANNERS

We love these Valentine's Day mini felt banners for so many reasons. They are easy to make, adorable and everlasting!  We recommend this craft for ages 9 and up.  Kids can use these colourful felt banners to decorate their desk, locker, bedroom or bulletin boards.  They are a constant reminder that they are loved!

Instructions

Fold the felt piece to create a double layer, and cut out the letters and shapes you wish to create.  We kept our letters and shapes between 1-2" tall.

Party et Cie - Mini Felt Banner - Step 1

Using a small running stitch with contrasting thread, sew along the outer edges of your letters and shapes. This stitch doesn't have to look perfect - a homemade look is more endearing!

Party et Cie - Mini Felt Banner - Step 2

Using a loop stitch, create a thread loop at the top of your letters and secure them to the chinese knotting cord or yarn.  The loops allow you to adjust the spacing of the letters.  We created little loops at the end of the cords for hanging, and added a tassel on one side.

Package these up in a cardstock backed vellum envelope and give to your nearest and dearest!
